Shared facility catalogue
One resumable worldwide import serves all visitors. The existing cron fills missing areas and later refreshes old areas. Dense areas split into smaller cells. Saved facilities remain available while the source is unavailable.

Initial import is not instant: 648 starting areas, subdivided before requests and further for dense areas, one queue step per selected background cycle (subdivision or source import), plus provider backoff. No browser needs to remain open.Check the map
- Open the Alert Dashboard and enable Vessels in a theater. The count covers the displayed map area.
- Open Global and enable Vessels. Hover a marker to check its observation time.
- Under Map facilities, select Nuclear or Ports. Areas load progressively; the count includes only matching facilities in view.
- Zoom and pan. Facilities stay attached to their coordinates and more detailed areas load.
AIS is sampled and depends on receiver coverage. No reports in an area does not mean no vessels are there. Facility markers reflect OpenStreetMap records; coverage and tags may be incomplete.
